Years ago, when I first saw Kerne Erickson’s paintings, I was blown away by the bold color, the attention to detail and the feeling that I was seeing firsthand what it was like to live in the 1930’s and 40’s in America. Kerne’s work can take you back to a time, where everything seemed simpler. 

 

I imagined those images out from behind a glass framed image and onto fabric products that could be seen everywhere – the beach, travelling, walking, or even just brightening up the home.

 

Having lived in California for several years where Summer is virtually every season, I wanted to be able to bring Kerne’s retro travel images to a broader audience, so they too, could feel a sense of travel, of Summer, of nostalgia, all year round.
