In 1928, when Ernest Hemingway arrived in Key West, he was immediately enchanted.   For more than a decade, he called it home, producing some of his most famous works, including To Have and Not Have, which was set on the island.
 
A coral cay archipelago off the southern coast of Florida, forming the southernmost part of the continental United States; Key West is a series of islands linked together by a one hundred and twenty six mile-long highway, including the seven mile highway over the waters of Florida Straits.
